Vicar of Walsingham:

Fr Harri Williams SSC

Fr Harri was born in Cardiff and grew up in South Wales, during which time he served as Head Chorister of Newport Cathedral. Prior to University he spent a Gap Year in St Davids Cathedral, singing in the Cathedral Choirs and working as a Verger. He then read Modern History at Balliol College, Oxford and during his time as an undergraduate he was Sacristan of Pusey House. He then trained for the priesthood at St Michael's College Llandaff and read for a theology degree at Cardiff University. Fr Harri was ordained deacon in 2010 and priested the following year and served his title in the Parish of Haverfordwest. In 2013 he was appointed Vicar of Milford Haven, and at the time was the youngest incumbent in the Church in Wales. Following five and a half happy years there he was appointed as Priest in Charge of the Walsingham Benefice in 2018. Fr Harri obtained his PhD from the University of Wales in 2018 and researched the campaign against the disestablishment of the Church in Wales. Fr Harri is married to Clare, who works as Head of Schools & Family Learning at Norwich Cathedral.
