There will be a meeting for all those interested in the idea of a parish pantomime on Thursday 17th October at the Pilgrim Hall in the Anglican Shrine from 7pm till 8.30pm. Anyone welcome. We are going to read a pantomime script 'just for fun'. If you'd like a laugh, come along and take part - or just listen!

From October 21st to 28th there will be a photographic exhibition mounted by Christian Aid in the Handa gallery of the Maltings, Wells, from 10am to 4pm . The photos shows the work Christian Aid has been enabled to do (through generous legacies) in the Amazon rain forest, most particularly in Bolivia, South America's poorest country. Striking images show the need for the vital fight to protect the destruction of the rain forest, and the effects of global warming that affect the indigenous people and the wider world.

All Saints’ Day & All Souls’ Day

On the 1st November we will celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints with a Solemn Mass at the Shrine at 11am. Following this we will have a Parish Lunch in the Refectory. If you would like to attend this, please sign up on the sheet at the back of the Church. The cost of the two-course meal and coffee will be £12.50.

On the 2nd November we will celebrate All Souls’ Day at St Mary’s with a Solemn Mass at 11am, when we will pray by name only for those who have died in the past year.

This year Requiem Masses will take place on available Ferias during the month of November. At each of these Masses the names of the departed will be read out. Please place the names of your loved ones at a Mass you intend to be present, on the list at the back of the Church.

On Sunday 3rd November we will continue to celebrate the solemnity of All Saints with Choral Evensong according to the BCP at East Barsham at 3.00pm. Evensong will be sung by the Peddar’s Quire and our preacher will be Fr Joshua Bell SSC, the Assistant Curate of All Saints, Kings Lynn.

The service will be followed by refreshments. Do support this service by your presence!
